Adeline L. Goddard, 87, formerly of Pueblo, passed away August 5, 2019.
She was born July 2, 1932 in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Richard and Jessie (Hicks) Fraser. She spent her girlhood years in Saskatchewan, Canada and moved to Lakewood, CO in her mid teens. She graduated from Lakewood High School.
On October 6, 1950, she married Johnny R. Goddard at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Lakewood, Colorado.
After years of secretarial work, Adeline later joined Johnny in the real estate field, becoming a broker at the family business, Goddard Realty & Company in Aurora, Colorado. She worked as a broker for many years. She was well-known for her honesty with her families during the sale process.
Adeline was of the Catholic faith and was also an avid gardener. She never knew a stranger and was the perfect confidant. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband. They traveled in the RV full-time for 8 years and also enjoyed trips abroad. One of her favorite trips was to Australia where she made many friends. Adeline enjoyed fishing and liked playing card and board games. Above all, Adeline cherished the time that she spent with her family and will be remembered as a very generous person.
Adeline is survived by daughter, Cathy M. (Bert) Baker Daniels; two sons, David W. Goddard and John R. (Minerva) Goddard Jr.; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband, Johnny R. Goddard; son, Edward R. Goddard; mother, Jessie E. Fraser; father, Richard D. Fraser and two sisters, Audrey and Jean.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Adeline's name to a cancer research charity of the donor's choice.
