Charlene June Deschane, 89, of Brighton, passed away August 19, 2019.

She was born August 20, 1929 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Halbert and Mary (Van Buskirk) Stocking. She was a graduate of North Denver High School in 1947.

On August 23, 1949, she married Felix Lynn Deschane, Sr. in San Leandro, California.

Charlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving the church in many callings and assignments.

Charlene loved music and was known for her singing. Charlene was classically trained for singing and sang in the Denver Post Opera one year. She also loved to sing lullabyes to her family. She also enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing, and gardening.

Charlene is survived by three children, Felix Lynn Deschane, Jr., Heather Ann Deschane and Leah Suzette (Jim) Gulliksen; four grandchildren, Amber Lashea (Tony) Lilgerose, Holly Marie (Richard) Weathers, Shawn Deschane Espinoza and Paige Irene Espinoza; four great-grandchildren, Carlos Castaneda, Zachary Lilgerose, Aiden Weathers and Eleanora Weathers; two brothers, William P. Stocking and David (Sharon) Oravitz; sister, Beverly Jean (Ray) Austin and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Felix Lynn Deschane, Sr.; father, Halbert Marshall Stocking; mother, Mary June Stocking; stepmother, Rose Oravitz Stocking; daughter-in-law, Karrilynne Elizabeth Deschane; and sister-in-law, Annette Stocking.
