Barbara Ann Levisay Davenport , 86, of Aurora, Colorado went to heaven on Thursday, September 12, 2019.
She was born to Mabel and Virden Christiansen, November 2, 1932. She was raised by her aunt and uncle Roy and Louise Rheeling in Princeton, Illinois. Barbara graduated from Princeton High School in 1950. She then attended Stevens College in Columbia, Missouri and the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO.
Barbara taught high school English in Texas and then later helped to managed Hoffman Heights Bowling Center in Aurora, Colorado with her husband Leon Davenport. Later, after retiring from work at the bowling center she became a Mystery Shopper for various companies which she adored!
Barbara was an avid bowler for many years and loved traveling to tournaments all over the country. She was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching all her teams win or lose. Most of all, she loved attending the many dance recitals and sporting events that her grandchildren participated in!
Barbara is survived by one daughter, Brook Draper, of Thornton, Colorado. She is also survived by Hannah Draper Iwerks (grand-daughter) and Steven Iwerks of Greeley, Colorado; Noah Draper (grandson) of Thornton, Colorado as well as nieces and nephews in Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles, her sister Shirley Work Harpley and her beloved husband Leon Davenport.
