In Memory Of
Edna M. Marquardt
1928 - 2019

Edna Marquardt, beloved long time resident of Avamere Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Brighton, CO, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2019.

Edna's happiest times is when she lived in Golden, CO. She absolutely loved watching the kayaks. She spent her time in several museums sharing the rich Colorado history with visitors.

Edna was born in Carter, WI in 1928. Her mother and 10 siblings survived the depression by baking and selling bread door to door before school. Edna had a pretty eclectic work history. She sold wigs at Sears, went door to door selling Kirby vacuum cleaners, she was a telephone operator, started a cab company and then ended her working career as a postal employee.

Edna is survived by her son, Donald and spouse Chris; daughter, Debra and spouse Ray; son, David and spouse Dian; and son, Daniel and spouse Tammy. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Marks of Waukeshaw, WI; and many niece and nephews. Edna was the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren (one of which is expected early November).

Edna loved spending time with her entire family, and there will be a celebration of life, date not yet determined.
