Jeri Dunn, 74, of Westminster, Colorado passed into the loving arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of September 25th, 2019.
Jeri was born on the Corpus Christi, Texas Naval Air Station on August 15th, 1945. She was born to Wilburn E. and Joyce (Tumlinson) Atwood. She married Dennis L. Dunn on June 28th, 1966 and they were together 53 years until her death. Jeri and Dennis had one daughter, Katrina (Dunn) Walker on December 19th, 1971. Jeri was also a Step-Mom to Dennis’s kids from his first marriage, David Dunn, Sheila (Dunn) Birchall, John Dunn, Michelle “Mickey” Dunn and Brian (Dunn) Barker.
Jeri was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt. She has numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Jeri went to college where she got her certificate in accounting. She worked for several years as an accounts receivable clerk for the insurance company Great West. Most of her life though, Jeri was a stay at home Mother and also a homemaker. She often spent hours working on her family genealogy. She was very passionate about her long lost relatives. She enjoyed watching murder mysteries on TV, reading and sewing. She was also involved in the Order of the Eastern Star for many years until her mobility prevented her from attending.
Jeri will be met in Glory by her step–daughter Michelle, her Grandmother Bertha, her parents Wilburn and Joyce, her sister Sidney, her brother Linsey, and her in-laws, Ginger and Orville.
Jeri is survived by her husband Dennis L Dunn, her Daughter and son-in-law Katrina (Dunn) and David Walker, all her step-children, her granddaughter Shaelyn Walker, numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brothers Wil Atwood, Les Atwood, and Thomas Atwood.
There will be a viewing and memorial service for Jeri on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Newcomer Mortuary located at 901 S. Sheridan, Lakewood, CO. There will be a procession following to Crown Hill Cemetery located at 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheatridge, CO, where Jeri will be interred.
