Rose Mary Sorrentino, age 57, went home to Jesus on Sunday November 24, 2019 in the care of her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Suzy Petla, after battling colon cancer. Rose was born to the late Raymond Petla and Kathleen Kittinger on December 4, 1961 in Denver Colorado.
Rose worked as a customer service representative for State Farm Insurance where she displayed her kind heart and care for people. Rose lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many of life’s pleasures including: hiking, biking, working out, going for walks, and spending time with her family. Rose’s faith in God was the most important piece of her life and she would speak of her love for Jesus often and openly. Rose had the biggest heart and was always able to connect to people in a deep and loving way.
Rose is predeceased by her father Raymond Petla and her sister Rita Beach. Rose is survived by her mother, Kathleen Kittinger; her three brothers, Dan (Suzy) Petla, Jeffrey (Sharon) Petla, and David Petla; her former husband and father of her children, Dave Sorrentino; her four children, Joshua (Jasmine) Sorrentino, Justin (Allie) Sorrentino, Jessica (Eric) Trimble, and Jordan (Alex) Sorrentino; and her three grandchildren, Gavin Sorrentino, Emerie Sorrentino, and Mia Trimble.
