In Memory Of
Verne Alvy Singer
1928 - 2019

On December 11th, 2019, at the age of 91, Verne Alvy Singer went home to be with his loved ones who preceded him in death. During his last days in Strasburg, Colorado, he was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He passed quietly holding his beloved wife Wanda’s hand.

Verne was born to Clarence and Maudie Singer on July 13, 1928 in Haswell, Colorado where he grew up and graduated from Haswell High School.

Verne was a proud army veteran who was stationed in Paris France during the Korean War.

Verne was completely devoted to his family. Always willing to lend a hand where needed. He was extremely talented at using his hands to build things and to create beautiful stained glass items.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, his children, Verne R. (Diana), Randall (Laurie), John (Pamela), Kathleen (Bruce), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two younger brothers, William and Lawrence.

He was preceded in death by his newborn daughter Jacqueline Monique, his parents, Clarence and Maudie, two older siblings, Wayne and Vivian and two “double” cousins Jane and Carol, whom he loved as sisters.
