Daniel Dean Shamburg was born to Virgil Shamburg and Velma (Sadler) Shamburg on November 07, 1936 in Scottsville, Kansas. He passed away on January 3, 2020 in Denver.

He graduated from Beloit High School in Beloit, Kansas in 1955.

He joined the Army National Guard in his senior year of high school. After graduation he moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the F.B.I. in the finger print department. Daniel also continued with the National Guard until he was honorably discharged in 1962. In 1959, Daniel met Sharon Rockvoy while he was working a side job selling cookware door to door, later that year they were married.

Daniel and Sharon moved to Minnesota where they started their family. In 1972, they moved to the Denver Metro area where they then settled in Aurora. Over time, Daniel and Sharon had 6 sons; Jeff, Greg, Steve, Mike, Rocky and Kyle. He had 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with another one on the way. Daniel and Sharon divorced in 1981.

Daniel’s career continued in sales, selling sewing machines, cars, and finally with Enersave where they sold microwaves, ceiling fans, fireplaces, and grandfather clocks. He retired in 2005.

After retirement, Daniel was involved with the Republican Caucuses in Colorado.

In 1994 Daniel shared his life with Helga Rigoulot who had 5 children of her own, Evelyn, Dianna, Carol, Bryan, Debbie.

Daniel’s hobbies were woodworking, gardening and family history.
