Roger Phillip Lozier , 75, of Aurora, passed away January 5, 2020.

He was born August 13, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Marion and Thelma (Whitten) Lozier.

He was a graduate of Farmington High School. He received his Bachelors degree from California State Long Beach.

On October 4, 1981, he married Candi. From then on, they were inseparable. They enjoyed traveling and camping. Roger and Candi loved spending quality time with their grandchildren and great-children. They loved each other tremendously. Candi wants all to remember, "Roger was a wonderful man who cared about everyone."

Roger was as an active member of the Volkswagen Enthusiasts of Colorado. He enjoyed attending events and gathering with other bug lovers. Roger spent time working on and restoring many types of Volkswagens.

Roger was an avid photographer, who loved capturing moments of his family and friends.

He was one of the good ones. He gave us all wonderful examples of what it means to be a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Candi Lozier; daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Gunn; two grandchildren, Janisha Elizabeth (Michael) Taylor and Dominic Xavier Gunn; six great-grandchildren, KaMyah, Dakota, Enoch, Issys, Iyana and Love; two brothers, Ralph Lozier and James Penland; three sisters, Martha Tharp, Wanoma Francione and Michelle Penland and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by father, Marion Lozier and mother, Thelma Lozier.

Flowers are respectfully and gratefully declined. In honor of Roger and his kind spirit, if so inclined, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in his name.
