Kenneth Gerald “Jerry” Hayden, 87, of Lakewood, Colorado, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday night, March 19, 2020.

He was born to Allen and Imogene Hayden on April 15, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. Jerry graduated from Lakewood High School, where he excelled in baseball, basketball and golf. He also made an entire 1951 Class of lifelong friends who continue to celebrate reunions which Jerry loved attending.

He served four years in the United States Navy, where he was the engineer on the Captain’s boat. He attended The University of Colorado, Denver, and went on to be a lithographer at Rocky Mountain Bank Note. He loved creative woodworking, and designing and building improvements to his and Grace’s home.

Jerry was active in all the churches he attended. He was always eager to help anyone in need. He loved the Rocky Mountains and enjoyed spending time with his family, going camping, jeeping, hiking and picnicking. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends and fly fishing.

He is survived by Grace, his wife of 62 years; his son, Jeff and wife, Nebbi, and his daughter, Jennifer and husband, Scott Gregory; his grandchildren, Drew Hayden (Tonya), Kelsey Jones, Trevor Hayden (Bekah), Luke Gregory (Sophie), and McKenzie Gregory; and his great-grandchildren, Izzy and Declan Hayden, Daisy, Titus and Zion Jones, and Everett Hayden. He was preceded in death by his son, Joel, and his great-grandson, Lincoln Jones.
