Stephen L. Tolin
1948 - 2020

Stephen L. Tolin, 71, Denver, Colorado passed away on May 20, 2020 in his home in south west Denver. He was born in Fountain Head, Tennessee in June of 1948.

At the age of 17, Steve enlisted in the United States Army by saying he was older than what he really was. Stephen earned the rank of Specialist E4 before being Honorably Discharged from the Vietnam War in June 1971. After his return to Colorado Stephen met his future wife Lena Apodaca and in 1980 the couple gave birth to their only daughter, Cordy Callie.

Stephen was a devoted Christian who fully put his trust and faith into the Lord and Jesus’ sacrifice for our salvation. He was also the type of person, due to his faith, that would give you the shirt off his back, the last dollar in his wallet or the last slice of bread he had in the kitchen to help those around him. He is survived by 6 siblings, his daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.

Stephen will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery with his wife on June 2, 2020. A memorial service will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions and will be recorded and posted here for those who are unable to attend. Memorial Services to be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery and will be announced at a later date
