Edward (Dick) Richard Harrington, 83, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully, early Sunday morning on May 24, 2020.

A celebration of life service will be held at a future date, when we are able to do so.

Dick was born June 21st, 1936 in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota to his father, Edward and his mother, Marjorie Harrington who preceded him. He graduated from High School and also attended college to be an accountant. On July 1st, 1956, he married his sweetheart, Cecelia Ann Springsguth. Without knowing who she was, he saw her walking across the street and told his friend he was going to marry her someday. They would have been married 64 years the 1st of July, 2020.

Dick worked many years as a district manager at Home Depot. He loved the retail world. He was very successful at it because he loved people and talking to them. He enjoyed making bird houses, going to garage sales, and watching football. He had a great sense of humor and always loved telling a good joke. He also enjoyed reading history novels and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever he could.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Cecelia Harrington; along with his 5 children, Tammy Brix of Littleton, CO, Susan Sherlock (Neal) of Littleton, CO, Richard Harrington (Christina) of Yuma, AZ, Michael Harrington (Blythe), and Jennifer Harrington of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, as well as his sister, Marjorie Stroh, several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Gary Harrington.
