Marinette came to the U.S. after War War II ended. Arrive into New York Harbor in the company of many war brides board thee SS Santa Paula in 1946. Prior to coming to the U.S. she worked as a secretary at Credit Lyonnais in Paris.
As the wife of a military man, she has lived and worked in many places - Ohio, Oklahoma, Germany, Hawaii and Colorado.
She has also worked many different types of jobs - Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor over 30 years, fitness instructor with Jack LaLanne Studios, seasonal Postal employee, Pool Manager, and Fitness & Water Safety Instructor with YMCA.
Marinette is survived by daughters, Patricia Roberts, Teresa Hartney, Maria Fitzgerald; grandsons, Nathan Perkkio, Alex Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Caleb Perkkio, Connor Perkkio, and Kolea Fitzgerald. She is preceded in death by husband, Donald R. Roberts, father, Pierre Estrade, and mother, Georgette Estrade, brother Emile Estrade.
