God called Thomas Leroy Byrns, Jr. “Sonny” of Strasburg, Colorado home on July 29, 2020. Sonny was 79 years old, born July 17, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. Sonny lived in Ellicott City, Maryland, and married Margaret (Livesay) Byrns on December 26, 1959 in Sykesville, Maryland, and was blessed with six children.
In 1978, Sonny moved with his family to Colorado, where he continued his work in drywall until his retirement in 2008.
In Sonny’s younger years he loved to drag race, even where he was not supposed to. Later in life, he found a love for golf, woodwork and working on the farm with his yaks, donkeys, chickens and riding his tractor.
Sonny is survived by: his wife, Margaret; son, Dave (Lori); daughter, Diane (Alex); daughter, Maria (Matt); son, Tony (Sue); daughter Lisa; twenty-four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; one great-great grandchild; brother, Jackie (Carol); brother, Ronnie (Delores); and sister, Sherry (William).
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Regina; his parents, Thomas Sr. and Ida Mae; brother, Butch; and sister, Patricia.
