Agnes Lucille (Lucero) Vigil

May 11th, 1929 – September 17th, 2020

Agnes Lucille Vigil died in Lakewood, CO on Thursday September 17th, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Thomas Vigil and son Gregory Vigil.

She was born in Denver, Colorado on May 11th, 1929 to parents Joseph and Phyllis Lucero. Agnes was a beloved mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughter Lynn Garnette Yager (Carl Yager) and her son Vincent Scott Vigil (Lynnette Vigil), four grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many relatives that called her Aunt, Mom, and Grandma.

Agnes graduated from West High School in 1948, then married Vincent Thomas Vigil on December 7, 1948. Agnes and Vincent lived together in Denver, Colorado before moving to Lakewood, Colorado in 1995.

Agnes worked at Montgomery Wards for 5 years in various capacities before taking a job with the United States Air Force Finance Center where she worked until retirement. She also was an avid bowler with a great inventory of trophies. Agnes also loved to sing and could remember song lyrics better than the names of her immediate family. She had a big heart, loved her dogs, the Broncos, and the Rockies; and she could be found regularly playing video poker up on the hill (Black Hawk).

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
