Danny Graul, 70, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Owner of "Black & Read", passed away on October 23, 2020.

Son of the late E. George and Mary Agnes Graul. Brother of Mary Sherie Swarts and Eileen (Roger) Loecher. Uncle of Adrianna (Ernie Paul) Marranzino, Tristina Swarts, Todd Swarts, Nikolas Loecher and Brianna Loecher-Rea. Also survived by great-nieces and great-nephews.

Danny was Born at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado and was a lifelong Wheat Ridge resident.

Danny was the proprietor of Black & Read Music Books & Games, one of the largest and longest surviving independent music stores in Colorado. Danny put his heart and soul into running his business, his employees and customers were as much of his family as his actual family. Danny never forgot a face, even if he couldn't remember a name. He greeted everyone as they were the most important person to walk through his door and his customers greeted Danny as if he was a long lost uncle. Black & Read will celebrate 30 years in business next year and it is his family and employees intent to keep it running to honor and respect Danny’s legacy.

Danny was a supporter of the arts, and his two favorite local organizations were the Denver Film Society and KUVU Jazz, Danny’s family would request all donations to be made in his name to one of these two groups.

A public celebration of Danny's life will be held in the Spring of 2021.
