Antonio "Tony "Chico"" Pacheco
1950 - 2020

Tony (Chico) was born on January 31, 1950 to Josephine and Eliu Pacheco in San Luis, CO, and passed away on November 23, 2020. He lived in Garcia, CO, and attended schools in Garcia and San Luis, CO. Upon moving Denver, CO with his family, he attended Lake Jr. High and North High School. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1968, stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk serving in Vietnam and Korea. After being discharged in 1974, he returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Martinez on October 4, 1975. They had two children and a stepdaughter, whom he considered his own natural born daughter.

Tony worked for several years driving a truck, making deliveries. After graduating from Denver Technical College with an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Technology, he worked in that field until his retirement in 2016. Tony was a thinker, an avid reader, a fisherman and a craftsman among many other things. He could build anything he wanted from scratch. His motto was “If you don’t try, you have already failed.” He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was loyal and admired by his many friends.

Tony is survived by his wife Gloria Pacheco, son Antonio Jr. (AJ) his wife Julie of Littleton, CO; daughters Anna Galindo of Las Vegas, NV; and Josie Pacheco her partner Hector Razo of Thornton, CO. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Anaya Chavez, Zoey Pacheco and Talia Pacheco; his brothers, Joe Pacheco of Cookeville, TN; Silas Pacheco, his wife Verla of Rio Rancho and his sister, Irene (Renee) Wersch of Littleton, CO. Tony was preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Eliu Pacheco, his brother Paul Pacheco and his sister Charlotte Garza.

Memorial service is planned for a later date, after which, Tony will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
