Carroll "Ed" Byrd
1931 - 2021

Ed Byrd, 89, of Denver, passed away January 12, 2021. He was born September 3, 1931 in Huntington West Virginia, the son of William and Virginia Selena (Chapman) Byrd.

Ed served four years in the Air Force and then served the Denver community as a police officer for almost 30 years. He also enjoyed many years of coaching junior high and high school boys basketball and football. Ed interpreted for the deaf, and he actively lived and shared his faith in Jesus Christ.

Ed is survived by his wife, Lorene Byrd; three daughters, Lenora Kae (Gary) Anderson, Vicki Janise (Todd) Kern, Nancy Carol (Ray) Elliott; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Nancy Janese Anderson, and five brothers and three sisters.
