James Forrest Paschall was born January 24, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away January 22, 2021, two days before his 83rd birthday. He was the 5th and last son of Beadford Forrest Paschall and Nona (Fryman) Paschall, both deceased. He was the brother of Harold, Norman D, Robert Earl, and martin Wells, all deceased. Still remaining is his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Olson) Paschall, two daughters, Rebecka Vigil and Polly Paschall, five grandchildren, Mitchell James McMaster, Taylor James Vigil, Joshua Tate Vigil, Cierra Corin Camp and Gage Lee McNees, also one great grandchild, Ivan Michael Arb Vigil.
Jim was born blind in his right eye, a handicap that caused some concern while growing up but which he overcame. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing with his dad and brothers and later learned to hunt. In fact, hunting and fishing were his favorite sports. He also loved golf and was an avid football fan.
Jim attended East High School but dropped out after his Junior year and later took the GED test. Then he applied for a job with Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. He started at the bottom, which was the Frames (inside wiring) and worked up all the way to second level management. He was offered a third level job but turned it down because he wanted to retire early. When he had 34 years of service, he retired and US West (the new telephone company name) gave him credit for 40 years.
When Jim was 21, he joined the Masons and began going to their meetings with his brothers. His dad was also a Mason. A few years later when Jim was a 32nd degree Mason, he joined the Consistory and became a Shriner. He was a member of the Keystone Kops. Jim was also in the Navy Reserves.
Jim was an intelligent man, a born leader, generous (almost to a fault) - yet frugal where he needed to be, and had a great sense of humor. On the flip side, he was impulsive, impatient and sometimes demanding. Overall, he was a likeable person and had many friends. May he rest in peace.

Donations can be made in Jim's memory to Central Baptist Church, 229 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, CO 80011 or to the Shriner's Hospital, https://donate.lovetotherescue.org
