In Memory Of
Brittney A. McCombs (Valrie)
1989 - 2021

Brittney Alexandra Valrie (McCombs), 31 of Aurora, passed away Monday April 26, 2021. She was born to Steven and Angela Valrie in Papillion, NE. Brittney worked in retail and customer service, and was passionate about cooking, shopping, sleeping and spending time with her boys, Ty and Jordon. Her absolute favorite pastime was sleeping, and she once said, "if I could sleep for 24 hours after I get everything done, that still wouldn't be enough."

On the morning of April 22, 2021, God's angel whispered to Brittney "Start looking ahead. there's something coming up on God's calendar and it's got your name on it. There's something good just over the horizon of tomorrow and it's for your life". That was the day that time stopped and the days following will forever be etched in the lives of her family. These words were whispered to Brittney, but the messenger forgot to share the secret message with her family.

Growing up, Brittney was always told, God looked, and He created you. It's important for you to appreciate the way God created you because other people will treat you the way you treat yourself. As she grew with maturity, she started moving in life and making decisions with those very words at the forefront of her life.

Brittney loved her boys fiercely and her eyes lit up like sparkling ornaments when she saw them. Brittney would spend her last dollar on her boys just to see them happy. She didn't have a problem letting anyone know "I will pull up on a kid" if they mess with mine. Deep down, her mother knew she would do exactly that. Brittney knew mom would be right there with her and fuss about it after the fact. The saying goes, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" so it came natural to her.

Brittney shared a goofy sense of humor with her Brother, Stevie growing up, and all through adult years. A sense of humor only those two could understand and oftentimes, getting them into trouble. Her passing leaves a permanent void in his heart that can only be filled by a sibling. Brittney was a daddy's girl until her last day on earth and had her dad wrapped around her little finger. There wasn't anything in the world that she wouldn't do for her dad.

Brittney fought through lots of aches, pains, and countless tears to bring Bailee, Ty (My Baby) and Jordy (Bubba) into the world. She knew the havoc this would wreak on her small body, but she desperately wanted to be a mother and her family was there to support her. Brittney learned through a lot of trial and error, but that's what made her the mother and the person that she is/was. Her boys loved and worship the ground she walked on. Brittney is at peace knowing that her boys are in good hands and will be well taken care of.

When she accomplished what she was meant to do, God decided it was time for her to come home and spend mommy/daughter time with Bailee. The pain of losing Bailee was visible every time she talked about her. At last, Brittney can be with Bailee and never have to shed another tear or have a sleepless night. The pieces of the puzzle were coming together for Brittney to be the amazing woman she strived to be, but sadly, the world will never get to witness this.

Brittney has penetrated the hearts and souls of her family in a way that most couldn't imagine. Her laugh, her smile, her eyes, her duck face pose, her goofiness, will never be forgotten. Brittney is missed more than words can ever say. The outpouring of love being given to her, and the tears being shed are indicative of the person that she was/is. She will be wrapped in the arms of love until the end of time. Through .her kind heart, her life lives on, and as she would always say, I LOVE YOU infinity times 10!

Survived by: Steven and Angei Valrie (mom and dad), Steven Valrie Jr. (brother) Ty McCombs (son), Jordon Valrie (son), Renaldo and Valentina Baucom (uncle and aunt), Verdon and Tanisha Sims (aunt and uncle), Thomas and Phyllis Wells (aunt and uncle), James and Mary Baucom (grandfather and grandmother), Nicholas McCombs, a host of cousins and family members. Preceded in death by Bailee McCombs (daughter).

In lieu of flowers, the Valrie family is requesting that donations be made to Sickle Cell Association, Inc, in Brittney's name. Sickle Cell Association, Inc, 6795 E. Tennessee Avenue, Suite 439, Denver, CO. 80224

The day you left and gained your wings, my heart just broke in two I wish you could have stayed with me but Heaven needed you. You left me with the memories and I love you dearly still. No matter how much time goes by you know I always will. You were a very special person with kindness in your heart and the love we had together grows stronger now we're apart I know I cannot bring you back although I wish it everyday, but a piece of me went with you the day you went away -Author Unknown
