Marion Lee Mason (nee Holden), age 86 years, died Saturday evening, July 24 2021, at home in Aurora, Colorado. Marion was born January 2nd, 1935 on a ranch near Midland, South Dakota to Grace (nee Peterson) and Albert Holden; Marion had two older siblings. In time, the family settled on a farm east of Council Bluffs, Iowa where Marion attended a one-room schoolhouse until High School.

She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1953, and later attended a business school in Kansas City, Missouri, which led to employment by Braniff Airways in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she met her future husband. She transferred to Denver, Colorado in 1960 (approximately),
and lived the rest of her life in Aurora.

In Colorado, Marion married Melvin (Pete) Mason, with whom she had two children, Mark and Mary. After her children were in school, Marion worked mainly as a bank auditor, and found time to earn an Associate Degree in Business.

Marion's survivors are husband Melvin (Pete) of Aurora; daughter and son-in-law Mary and Troy Pieper of Charlotte. North Carolina; grandson and wife Jeff and Stephanie Pelletier of Lakewood; granddaughter and husband Aimee and Justin Robinson of Ramstein AFB, Germany; step-granddaughter and wife Jennifer and Stacy Keener of Aurora, and step-grandson Brady Pieper of Austin, Texas. Marion is also survived by her treasured, 90-year old sister, Barbara King (nee Holden) of Council Bluffs,Iowa and an extensive family.
