David Lee Sowienski, 69, of Englewood, passed away on September 7, 2021.

David was born on February 21, 1952, Sioux City, Iowa to parents Stanley H. Sowienski and Ettie (Siebrands) Soweinski. He was one of four boys, two sets of twins, and is survived by his twin brother Richard.

David graduated from Central High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1970. He entered the United States Air Force in 1971 and was honorably discharged in 1975, attaining the rank of Airman First Class. He went on to study Cooking at Red Rocks Community College and worked at several restaurants in the Denver area before joining King Soopers as a Meat Cutter, until his retirement.

In addition to his brother Richard, David is survived by his wife, Susan Shea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ettie, and the first set of twin brothers, Stanley and Daniel Sowienski.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11:30 am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Shelter B. (Please gather at Staging Area B by 11:15 am). Military Honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard, The All Veterans Honor Guard and the Honor Bell.
