John was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 12, 1935, son of John and Hermina (Lukitsch) Keintz Sr. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. While attending high school, he worked alongside his father in Steel Mills. Shortly after working in the Mills, at the age of 22 years he decided to join the United States Army as a Radio Operator for 2 years. After the military, he began his lifelong career with United Airlines as a Ramp Agent for 35 years; finally retiring on December 31, 1996. On July 7, 1962, John married Alice Bauer in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania.
John enjoyed Polka music and dancing, playing the banjo and accordion, softball, golf, and going bowling. He loved cooking for his family and baking chocolate chip cookies to share with ALL. Finally, He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
John is survived by sons; Kurt (Jodee) Keintz and Eric (Lisa) Keintz; daughter, Gretchen (Raymond) Clemmons; grandchildren, Chanee Clemmons, Cree Clemmons, and Caleb Clemmons; and sisters, Rita (Charles) Mullen, Dorothy (Decd. William) Ivancic, Mary Ellen (Carl) Potenziani; and a host of nieces and nephews; and grand-pets. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice; and his parents, John and Hermina Keintz Sr.
