Elsie Ruth McClanahan was born on December 24th 1947 in Denver, CO. Elsie grew up in the area and graduated from Alameda High school. Elsie went on to work several jobs including working a hot truck and eventually to house and business cleaning. Elsie was always an extremely hard working women, she had built quite a list of long term clients and friends.

Elsie married Kenny Koons and together they welcomed their son Chade J Koons on April 26th 1969. Chade was their whole world, there wasn’t a thing they wouldn’t do for him.

Elsie was a religious and spiritual women. She was an incredible cook and baker. She had the best homemade pastries around. But most importantly she loved her family and friends more than anything. She adored her grandkids and she adored her great grand babies. Elsie was a big animal lover and she loved to spoil her cat ShyAnne.

She loved fishing with her son Chade more than anything in the world. Elsie loved spending time with family especially over the holidays.

Even on the hardest days Elsie had a smile on her face and a joke to crack about the golden years. She was an incredibly strong women and we will miss her beyond words.

Elsie is survived by her granddaughter Alissa Wolfe, grandson Austin Koons, daughter in law Melody Koons, sister Anita LaComb, brother Curtis McClanahan, niece Shannon Sage-Pierce, niece Holly LaComb-Huddleston, great niece Colleen Thomas, great nephew Antonio Huddleston, great niece Christina Pierce and And many other loving family and friends.
