Laurie Jean (Engsell) Arnold, age 60, of Littleton, CO passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at UC Health Care in Highland Ranch, CO with loved ones by her side.
Laurie was born in Saddle Brook, NJ on February 12, 1961 to her late parents, Edward and Lynda (Hoffman) Engsell. She grew up in Saddle Brook, NJ and earned her high school diploma and dental assisting degree. She met and fell in love with Clifton Arnold and was married in Fairlawn, NJ on June 15, 1991 and they had 30 years together starting in Hackensack, NJ, Harvard, NE, Otoe, NE, Sioux City, IA, and finally Littleton, CO. Laurie earned her CNA degree in NE and spent many years caring for residents in nursing homes. She was also part of the Otoe, NE Volunteer Fire Department. To this union was born a son, Clifton Arnold, Jr. Laurie loved caring for others, she loved to cook and entertain family and friends and always ready to help someone in need. She looked forward to going back to NJ to visit her family and for special occasions. She did beautiful crocheted scarves, afghans and baby blankets which are treasured to this day. She loved her many cats and dogs. Laurie is going to be greatly missed by many family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Clifton Arnold, her son, Clifton Arnold, Jr of Littelton, CO, her brother, Edward Engsell of Cherry Hill, NJ, nieces Tiffany Birdwell and her husband Thomas, and Lynda Devlin and her husband Patrick of NJ, great nieces Emily and Adeline of NJ, and uncle Edward Hoffman, Patricia Hoffman of NJ, mother in law, Joann Arnold of NE, sisters in law, Lillian (Arnold) Baker and husband Craig, Sharon Arnold, and Laura (Arnold/Schmidt) Tindall of NE, nieces, Jenifer Winkelman and her family and Gabi Baker and her family of NE, Danielle (Schmidt) Keilig and her husband, Travis, great niece, Kaytlin Keilig, great nephew, James Keilig of NE, uncle and aunt, Edward and Linda Peterson of NE, nephews Mike Peterson and his family and Mark Peterson and his family of NE.
