Mary Jean Shepard

Mary Jean passed away on October, 13, 2021 after a bravely fought battle against cancer. Her daughters Maura, Tracy & Samantha were with her at her time of passing, as well as her grandson Shane and great-granddaughter Melany. In addition to her three daughters, Mary Jean had six grandchildren, Jamie Cook; Amanda Shepard; Jessica Fisher; Nicole Cook; Shane Shepard and Julian Bueno. Mary Jean also had 10 great-grand children, Melany Carrillo-Avila; Hailey Carrillo; Mathias Shepard; Richard Gamez (rip); Elijah Shepard; Donovan Hernandez; Aria Shepard; Alias Shepard; Amethyst Rose Shepard; and Junior Aguilar. Mary Jean was born in Denver on April 19, 1943. She graduated in 1961 from Cathedral High School. She always stayed in touch with her high school classmates and enjoyed all reunions and gatherings with them. After high school she began a very successful career at the office of the Colorado Secretary of State, working her way up to a supervisor position. In October 31st of 1998 she retired and began living her exciting life of world travel. She visited many different countries and loved traveling! Mary Jean was loved and appreciated by many people at home and abroad. She had life long friendships and will be dearly missed.
