Otto Paul Pruitt Jr. passed away suddenly on Oct. 15, 2021 at his home in Centennial, CO. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of Otto Pruitt Sr and Connie Brubaker Pruitt. He leaves his wife, Denise Mowan Pruitt,(Centennial, CO) 4 sons, Zachary Pruitt , Daniel Pruitt, Noah Pruitt, and Joe Pruitt, all of Centennial, CO. He also leaves his Parents Otto and Connie Pruitt of Green Valley, AZ, 4 brothers, Tony Pruitt (Deb) Fort Wayne, IN, Victor Pruitt (Joan) Zanesville, IN, Brian Pruitt (Julie) Chandler, AZ, Jeff Pruitt of Fort Wayne, IN, Nephews Christopher Pruitt, Ryan Pruitt (Megan) Fort Wayne, IN, Greg Pruitt (Stephanie) Decatur, IN, Sean Pruitt, Gage Pruitt of Chandler, AZ, and Niece Gina Ryan of Fort Wayne, IN, 7 great nieces and nephews. He also leaves in his wife Denise’s family, Parents in Law, Harold and Cleo Ray Mowan (N. Manchester, IN), Lori (Steve) Crain of Lafayette, IN, Amy (John) Kolb of Fort Wayne, IN, Terry Mowan (Jaimie) Bluffton, IN, Nieces Erin Bowers Wysong (Charlie) Chicago, IL, Jennifer Beam (Jessie) South Bend, IN, Katelyn Kolb of Fort Wayne, IN, and Nephews Nathan Crain Indianapolis, IN, and Lucas Kolb, Fort Wayne, IN. 3 Great nieces and nephews.
Otto served the Lord all his life in Youth Ministry; many years through Church Youth Group, Campus Life, Youth for Christ in Fort Wayne, BIG JAWS chapter in Indiana, and in the Denver Area Youth for Christ. He recently served through GO4Word Inc., in Weld County, CO, and Parker, CO. He impacted thousands of teenagers in 38 years of ministry, exhibiting Christ for them, and challenging them to live for Christ and share the love of Jesus to their peers. His passion for teenagers to know Christ guided his life, and his infectious joy brought along many, many people to join in on many levels. He never knew a stranger, and was never afraid to talk about his Christ, even in a Lyft ride.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lifegate Church, 10200 E Girard Ave., Building D, Denver, CO on Thursday, October 28, 2021, 11:00 a.m., with visitation preceding on Wednesday, October 27, from 1-3 p.m., at Lifegate Church, and following the Celebration of Life. A Celebration of Life will also be held in Fort Wayne, IN, on November 13, 2021 at Fellowship Missionary Church, 11:00 a.m. at 2536 E Tillman Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46816
