Frank Cacciatore

November 5, 1940 — November 25, 2021

Frank Cacciatore, 81, of Aurora, passed away November 25, 2021.

He was born November 5, 1940 in Aguilar, Colorado, the son of Tony and Clara (Alishio) Cacciatore. He grew up in a mining camp in Walsenburg, CO and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Walsenburg in 1958.

Upon graduating high school, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving until 1963 when he was honorably discharged. He was a proud Navy Veteran. On April 21, 1975, he married Pamela Wadle.

Frank worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years. After his retirement from the Postal Service but waiting for Pamela to retire, Frank got bored with staying at home. He then drove buses for the special-needs students for Denver Public Schools for 12 years.

Frank was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed hunting even though he never shot anything. Frank never knew a stranger and never had an enemy. He was a friend to everyone and was known as "The Neighborhood Watch." His feistiness made him very popular and was well-loved by everyone who knew him.

Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pamela Cacciatore; son, Jeffery (Saori) Cacciatore; two daughters Jaime (Brent) Shawl and Jodi Cacciatore; grandchildren, Tony, Miles, Yuko, Tressie, Levi, Chloe and Brantley; sisters-in-law, Barbara Cacciatore, Laura (Chris) Conrad, Linda Wadle and Emma Wadle; brother-in-law, John Milburn; brother and sister from the heart, Butch and Kathy Stanko, and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends in several states.

He is preceded in death by father, Tony Cacciatore; mother, Clara Cacciatore and brother, Joseph Cacciatore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Hospice.
