Linda was born at her parents home in San Luis, Colorado on April 1, 1928. She was the the fifth of 8 children to Benjamin Martinez and Rebecca Martinez-Sanchez. Her family moved to Denver when she was a child where she attended Cole junior high school and Manuel High School.

She married Joseph Luna on October 15, 1949 in Denver at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. They had two children together, Patricia “Pat” and Joseph “Jojo”.

Linda and Joseph were married 58 years until his passing on May 10, 2007 at their home in Aurora, CO.

They had three granddaughters, Valeri (Adam) Hauser, Vanessa Luna, and Veronica Luna.

Linda was a skilled seamstress, designing many outfits and Halloween costumes for her children, grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and crocheting. She also enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

Linda loved to read, and shared her joy of reading with her children and grandchildren.

Linda was loving and kind, and had a special place in her heart for animals - especially kitty cats. She was never without a cat in her home.

On January 6, 2022, at the age of 93, Linda returned home.
