Susan Deardorff
1957 - 2022

Susan Deardorff, 64, of Denver, passed away Wednesday May 4, 2022.

She was born to the late John and Catherine Herman on November 20, 1957, in Denver, CO. She graduated from South High School in 1975.

Sue met her husband John Deardorff in 1975, cruising around Downtown Denver with their friends. After their first kiss they both knew they were made for each other. Sue and John were married on March 20, 1976, and spent 46 wonderful years together.

Sue worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian with the Air Force Personnel Center at the Lowry Air Force Base for 31 years before retiring in 2012.

Sue had such a big heart and always made sure everyone felt like they were family. She always lent a hand to those in need, found the positive side of any situation, and loved to laugh. Sue throughly enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her grandkids, antique shopping, traveling, and watching the sun rise and set.

Sue is survived by her loving husband John Deardorff, of Denver, CO. Her children: Chad Deardorff, of Denver, CO; Jennifer Decker and husband Michael Decker, of Aurora, CO. Her grandchildren: Jonathan, Landen, and Ryleean. She is also survived by her sisters: Elizabeth Schurman, Colleen Taylor, Gertrude Taylor, and brother Kenneth Herman.

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday May 11, 2022.
