Phil Tafoya, was born on April 25, 1939 to Rita (Ulibarri) and Manuel Tafoya in San Jose, NM. He is the oldest of seven siblings; Richard, Gilbert, Raymond, Manuel, Beatrice and Irene.

Phil met his beloved wife of 63 years, Rosalie Tafoya in Denver, CO when he was 17 years old and they were married in 1958. They have two sons, Manuel and Michael, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Phil died on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 surrounded by his wife and family in his home where they lovingly held him as he passed into heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Rita and Manuel, five of his siblings; Richard, Gilbert, Raymond, Manuel and Beatrice, and his grand-son Justin.

He is survived by his wife Rosalie, his youngest sister, Irene, his two sons Manuel (Donna), Michael (Donna), his grand-children; Tara (Theo), Dominic (Lucero), Vanessa (Stefano), Mikala and Aubree and his eight grand-children (Marissa, Riley, Harlow, Peyton, Halle, Gavin, Justin and Vida).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 178 S 6th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601. Rosary will be held thirty minutes prior, from 10:30-11:00 am at the church. Reception will follow from 12:30-3:00 pm.
