Deanna Colleen Jimenez, 67, passed away Thursday morning, June 16, 2022 with her husband, son, and daughter by her side at her home of 42 years in Edgewater, Colorado.

Born in the small farming community of WaKeeney, Kansas on December 1, 1954 to Louella Marie (Deringer) and Lewis Ezra Gordon, she was the second of five girls. Her family attended the First Baptist Church and Bible School, which was fitting for their Swedish roots. The family moved to the small mountain town of Idaho Springs, Colorado in 1967. She moved to New Mexico for her senior year and graduated from Los Lunas High School in 1973.
She married Alfonso Jimenez on September 10, 1979, she was the central figure in the lives of her family as a wife and mother of three, then a proud Nana of four grandchildren, and most recently, a great-grandson.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Alfonso Jimenez; daughter, Sabrina Nuanez (James); and son, Ronald Pallow (Cherelle). Grandchildren; Amber Jimenez, Alyssa and Vincent Nuanez, Roman Pallow; great-grandson, Aziel Jimenez. Sisters; Ida Gordon Billau, Wilma White (Ronald); and 11 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Alexander John Jimenez; sisters, Cheryl Lee Valdez, Charlotte Kay Olsen, and nephew Jonathan White.

Deanna (DJ) was well loved by her customers and coworkers at the restaurants and country club she worked at throughout the years, and later became a homemaker. Baking, bowling, sewing, and crafts were among her most enjoyed pastimes for many years, but she especially loved to spend time on her back patio, whether it was for potting flowers, family gatherings, or just to enjoy her morning cup of coffee.

She is and will always be missed.
