1942 - 2022

Zach Evelyn Nichols, 79, of Aurora, peacefully passed away in her sleep September 17, 2022.
Known to many as “Zachie” was born November 1, 1942 In San Angelo TX, one daughter of Zachary and Thelma (Taylor) Jones. She graduated Louisville High School in 1960. On November 28, 1970 she married Paul Dean Nichols and was married for almost 50 years.

Professionally she worked as an Administrative Assistant and Manager in the manufacturing industry and then the bowling industry for decades.
Zach had great love for the state of Texas and country music growing up in a ranching and farming lifestyle. She then moved with her family to New Mexico for some time and eventually landed in Colorado. She held a fond place in her heart for Native American art and architecture and animals of all kinds. She was an avid bowler, golfer, and video poker player with friends and family “up the hill”. She loved being involved in her grandchildren’s sports and activities and anything Larry Walker or Charlie Blackmon with the Colorado Rockies every season.

Zach is survived by her son Christopher (Kari) Nichols; daughter Tracie (Brad) Rohr; five grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor Nichols, William, Ashley, and Hailey Rohr; brother in law Steven (Desiree) Nichols; niece Kori Nichols and nephew, Ryan Nichols.

She is preceded in death by father, Zachary Beach Jones; mother Thelma Evelyn Jones; brother David Jones; sisters Jean Abbott and Ronda Varley.
Family is having a Celebration of life memorial service for both Zach and Paul, who will be deeply missed by family and friends, however live in our hearts forever at Newcomer East on October 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
