Obituary for Patricia Louise Haugen, 8/24/1939 - 11/9/2022.
Patricia Louise Haugen passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022. She was born to Bertha and Leo
Eger on August 24th, 1939, in Connellsville, PA, the second of three children. Patty headed west for
adventure in 1958. There she met her husband, and the love of her life, Ken Haugen. They were married
in 1968 in Portland, OR, and spent many happy years together until his death in 2006.
Patty had a generous and giving heart. In addition to there 2 children, 3 Step children, she also fostered 17 other children
and opened her home to nieces, nephews, grandchildren, sister and many others that needed a place to
live. Her strong Christian faith compelled her to help people when she could. She supported numerous
charities that fed the poor and indigent, as well as volunteering at her churches food pantry. She was an
amazing friend to many and will be sorely missed.
Patty is survived by her children, James Haugen (Rose Ann Chavez), Jessica Johnson (George), Mary
Ashford (Rick), son Marty Dennis (Pat), and brother Leo Eger (Katrina), and numerous grand and greatgrandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Ken, daughters Yvonne Haugen and Lori Hughes, son
Larry Dix, and sister Barbara Michael.
Viewing will be Thursday, December 8th, at 10AM, at Colorado Christian Fellowship 10630 E Iliff Avenue,
Aurora, CO at 10AM. Services will be at 11AM with a reception to follow.
