JoAnn Law, 85, of Lakewood, Colorado died 6 pm Monday October 31, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital. She had been fighting the effects Congestive Heart Failure for the past couple years.
She was the youngest of 3 children born to Lewis and Viola Lathrop on September 6, 1937 in Houston, Texas.
She was home schooled.
She met Donald Charles Law at the University of Houston where they were both students. They married in 1958 in Houston and were married 54 years. Donald passed away on December 26, 2012.
She was a member of the Golden Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She loved traveling, gardening, baking, painting, playing piano, going on walks and skiing, and most of all spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughter Joyce Law and son-in-law, Eric Erickson of Lakewood, Colorado; daughter Dolly and son-in-law Dan Fountain of Coos Bay, Oregon; son John and daughter-in-law Marcy Law of Allen, Texas; granddaughters, Kinsey Law, Bree Law and Kaley Smith and husband Riley Smith of Allen, Texas.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 30 starting with a noon visitation, followed by 1 pm services at Newcomer Funeral Home at 901 S. Sheridan, Denver with Pastor Nathaniel Gamble officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, December 6 at 2 pm.
