Jean Allen
1929 - 2023
Jean Allen was called home on January 14, 2023. Jean was born June 8, 1929 to Edith and Herman Klapp in Redlands, CA. Shortly after Jean was born her family made the move to Colorado and she would forever call Colorado home. While at the local skating rink she would meet the love of her life, Jack. They would later marry in 1947 and have a son and a daughter. Jean was a proud member of 1st Denver Christian Reformed Church and always enjoyed her Wednesday dinners with the congregation. Jean worked assembling suitcases at Samsonite for over 20 years and then went on to work for CA Norgren for 17 years. All that knew Jean will remember her passion for bowling, her beautifully done hair, her love of cats and her kind smile.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack. Jean is survived by her son John Allen (Kassie Allen) daughter Sharon Talley; five grandchildren Jeremy Holck (Launi Holck) Matthew Twist, Jennifer Maxwell (Justin Maxwell), Krysta Hain (Robbie Hain) Jesse Carney; eleven great grandchildren, Jessica, Cade, Hailey, Makayla, Ronin, Amanda, Wyatt, Silas, Brystol, Maverick and Kaisley.
