In Memory Of
Patricia Lyn Hein
1951 - 2023
Pat graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs and pursued her degree in Mathematics at Colorado State University. She received her BS in Mathematics/Education at San Jose State University in 1973.
On December 10, 1971, she married Manfred (Fred) Hein at Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. Together, they raised two children, Krista Marie and Karin Alene. As a family, they traveled extensively and lived in many states throughout the US. They experienced firsthand what it means to live in “Gods Country”.
Pat tutored (including home tutoring) students in Mathematics at Weber State University in Utah and at Normandale College in Minnesota. In addition to Mathematics, she pursued education in Accounting and worked at an accounting firm in Texas. She continued to stay interested in educating young students in her work as a Strategic Development and Program Planning Manager at Jefferson County Headstart.
Pat loved collecting angels and spending time with her family. She was beautiful, inside and out – a strong and faithful Christian. She was known for her loving and giving nature where she always put others needs ahead of her own. She was someone you could depend on and talk to about anything.
Pat is preceded in death by her father, Thomas, and her mother, Betty. She is survived by her husband, Fred, her 2 children, Krista and Karin, her 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan, her 2 brothers, Barry and Bryan, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A public memorial service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at Newcomer West Metro Chapel, 901 South Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80226 followed by a gravesite service at Fort Logan at 1:30pm.
