At the time of his death, Patrick Seeley was 92 years old. He was born April 3, 1930 in Joliet, Illinois, the last of nine children born to the late Martin Seeley and Gertrude Klinghoff Seeley. He graduated from the Joliet Catholic High School on June 3, 1948 and enlisted in the United States Army in September 1948. He served during the Korean War, was honorably discharged from active military duty in January 1953 and transferred to the United States Army Reserves. He worked as a civilian for the United States Army at its base at Fitzsimons Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado until his retirement after twenty years of civil service. Master Sergeant retired from the U.S. Army Reserves on April 3, 1990.

He married Esther Ramirez in Aurora, Colorado on November 10, 1951. Together, they had four children, Donald, Angela, Debra and Michael. His spouse, Esther died May 31, 2019, and sons Donald and Michael died in June, 2005 and November 2018 respectively. Mr. Seeley is survived by his daughters Angela and Debra, daughter-in-law Jill Levron and her daughters Kayte and Bridget, grandchildren, Jessica, Micaine, John Michael, Tyrim and Donnie, and his great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jaxon, Jenna and Josie.

He was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and the Aurora, Colorado Knights of Columbus. As a young man, he played competitive Triple A baseball for the United States Army and participated in a competitive bowling league. He loved sports, of course being an active Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies fan. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, builder and gardener.

After the death of his spouse, Mr. Seeley lived with and was cared for by his daughter Angie, living in Palisade, Colorado. He passed away on January 16, 2023 at the Veterans Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado from complications related to pneumonia. His funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church January 31, 2023 followed by a luncheon at his favorite bar, Scooters in Aurora, Colorado. He will be buried with his spouse at Ft. Logan Military Cemetery, in Denver Colorado.
