Joseph P Mantelli Jr., age 81, passed away on March 12, 2023 in Denver. He was born February 20, 1942, to Lillian M. (Armijo) and Joseph Pino Mantelli Sr.
Joe graduated from the University of Colorado in 1968 and chose a career in the banking industry. In 1987, he received his master’s degree in Banking, from the University of New Mexico. For 30 years plus he was employed as an Audit Director and Bank Examiner, an Oil and Gas Lending Officer and a Bank President during his time in the banking industry.
In 1999 Joe moved into the Health Care Industry and was employed by a large Health Care Provider as an accountant and data base manager of member health care. After retiring from the business world he was free to enjoy his passions for mountain biking, snow skiing, hiking, and really enjoyed working in his yard tending to his beloved flower beds and lawn.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lillian and Joseph P. Mantelli Sr. and his brothers Steven Mantelli, James Mantelli and Ronald Mantelli. He is survived by Richard (Pamela) Mantelli, Littleton, step brother Frank Foster, San Angelo TX, nephews, Christopher and Justin, and nieces Leslie and Denise.
