Richard A. Mascarenas age 78, He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 22,2023. He was born January 12th 1945 in Denver Colorado to Joe and Edith Mascarenas. Richard served in the army during the Vietnam war he was drafted at 18 yrs old and sent to Military Justice training. He received 2 medals while serving. In the spring of 1976 he met the love of his life Marcella and was married on May 26th 1978 and of course they were married in the mountains of Indian Hills. In 1981 they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Andrea. They then moved to Vail CO. He then worked for the state of Colorado as a Snow plow driver. 12 years later moved to Aurora CO and drove a cement truck. Richard was an adventurous man always trying new places to fish, new places to go, new places to eat. To us he was our adventurous traveler. His favorite fishing spots were at Frank Espinoza cabin, and Alcova Reservoir and Bear creek. His favorite adventures were getting in the RV and going fishing. He also enjoyed watching his westerns and wrestling. He retired at 65 , he loved working in his yard, he had the best looking yard in the neighborhood and when he first bought his brand new snow blower he snow blowed the whole cul-de-sac he was O so proud. Richard dedicated his life to his family fishing and eating good food. He had 5 kids, 8 grandkids, 1 grandson in law, 4 great grandkids and his dog Chulo. Richard and Marcella had a very strong, devoted, loving marriage for 45 years. He was loved greatly. He will be missed tremendously and remain in our hearts and memories forever!
