Gary Michael Beach, 67, was born November 21, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed away on May 23, 2023, after battling a long illness.

In 1969, the family moved to Colorado. Gary graduated from Bear Creek High School in 1973. He joined the Air Force right out of High School and bravely defended our country from 1973 to 1976 towards the end of the Vietnam Conflict.

Gary attended one year of college at the University of Maryland and then returned to Colorado to receive his BA from Metro State University.

He joined the Adams County Sherriff's Department in 1977 and stayed there until 2004. Gary loved his job and held various positions within the department. He was on the Adams County Competitive Pistol shooting Team for 7 years. He loved working with the Adams County Explorer Post which is for younger people between the ages of 15 and 21. This gave many younger people the opportunity to work in law enforcement and he helped foster the ideals, knowledge and professionalism to succeed in this career path.

He was a great mentor and educator for many.

Gary had many hobbies including wood working and skeet shooting. He also loved hunting and fishing and made sure that the "whopper" of a fish will be caught another day.

Gary had an extensive vocabulary and loved including big words in his conversations. He enjoyed when his wife and friends had to look up the meanings and together would have brought them tears of laughter.

Music was another of Gary's loves. Bruce Springsteen was his favorite. Among other favorites were Simon and Garfunkel, and especially the song "Bridge Over Troubled Waters"! The word "Melomaniac" will be left for you to look up the meaning.

Gary was truly One of a Kind!

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Julie A. Pink, with which he shared a beautiful love story.

He is also survived by a sister Deborah Donelson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William R. Beach and Shirley Viola Beach, a brother Steve Beach, and sisters Linda Wendling and Sherilyn Beach.
