Flora Bueno was born in Segundo, CO on June 17, 1926. She passed into eternity on November 9, 2023. She was the second child born to Tomasita and Fidel Maestas. Her siblings were Lallie, Fidel, Orlie, Pricilla, Carol, Becky and Theresa. Only Carol, Becky and Theresa remain.

Flora attended school at Primero High School, graduating in 1945. Flora and her husband, Max, were married on March 4, 1946. They were married for 49 years, when her dear husband passed from this life, into heaven in 1995.

Flora and Max moved from Trinidad to Denver and later had six children, Maxine, Phillip (Gilda), Freddie (Francisca) Jeannie (Albert) James (Sheryl) and Mary Ellen. She and Max raised their granddaughter Amy, since she was eight years old. Maxine and Mary Ellen preceded her in death. Flora was mostly a homemaker, but she worked several part time jobs outside the home.

Flora’s best friend in life was her late brother Fidel, and she was so proud to be a part of the “SISTERS” who were six strong and beautiful matriarchs of their families!

Flora was a born again Christian, raised her kids in the church, and remained faithful till the end.
She had a long and happy life, adored by her late husband, her 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 34 great grand children, and 21 great, great grandchildren. She is survived by three beautiful sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flora was 97 years old, and she lived a long and full life, loved and cared for by her family. She was able to travel to many places, and enjoyed numerous parties, celebrations, events and gatherings with her large extended family. Her faith in God and her decision to follow Jesus Christ, gives her loved ones the blessed assurance that she will spend eternity in heaven with our Lord. She will be eternally loved, missed and remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Reception will be announced and follow cemetery service.
