Ada "Mildred" Andrews
84, Mildred Andrews a retired former resident of Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado passed away on December 28, 2013.
Mildred was born November 2, 1929 in Hulbert, Oklahoma and moved to Oakland, California prior to high school. After high school, Mildred went to work for Sears Roebucks. At Sears, Mildred met her husband, William "Bill" A. Andrews and they were fortunate enough to enjoy 63 years together. William preceded Mildred in death on October 26, 2012. In 1967, Mildred and Bill moved to Denver as a result of a transfer for Bill's employment. Mildred and Bill moved to Denver with their two elementary age children, Diane and Jim. It was always their intention to move "home" to the Bay area, but they both grew to love Denver and Denver became home. Mildred retired from the Cherry Creek School District. Bill and Mildred joined Grace United Methodist Church in 1967 and were active members. Mildred and Bill enjoyed playing golf with friends from Grace. Mildred helped schedule and deliver Meals on Wheels for several years. They enjoyed retirement and spent several winters in Sun City, AZ.
Mildred is survived by her two children Diane Westerberg, Englewood, Colorado and Jim Andrews, Jupiter, Florida and her two grandchildren, Dr. Jake Westerberg, Lubbock, Texas and Kristi Andrews, Jupiter, Florida.
