Adolph (Rudy) Baca
Adolph “Rudy” Baca passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 95. He was born on November 15, 1930, in Denver Colorado, to Braulio and Margaret Baca.
He graduated in 1949 from West High School in Denver, where he met his loving wife Delores “Dodie” Knight. They married on April 21, 1952, and had three daughters. They moved in 1960 to their Lakewood home where they lived for sixty years.
Rudy spent his career at Public Service Company as a Trouble Lineman finishing his career as Supervisor. Rudy loved to go fishing on the lakes and rivers in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Rudy enjoyed spending time in Grand Lake at their round cabin that Dodie’s dad built with Rudy’s help. Many days were spent there through the years with their children and grandchildren. The 4th of July was a special time for family to gather.
Rudy and Dodie traveled frequently to Las Vegas, where they loved to gamble, and to Branson to enjoy live music. They loved to dance with the “Hilltoppers” Square Dance Club. Rudy enjoyed working in their yard and improving things around the house. He was always a big help to the neighbors.
He leaves behind his daughters Sandra Lenz (Bob), Dianne Brush, Tammy Sugg (Rick), five grandchildren Erin Kennedy, Jared Lenz, Haley Brush, Brianna Brush and Colin Sugg; also two great-grandchildren, Brenna Kennedy, Liam Kennedy, and two sisters Juanita Bowan (Del) and Pat Medina. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dodie, of 72 years, his parents Braulio and Margaret Baca, two sisters Lucille Fields, Esther Schmidt and two brothers Bill Baca and Arthur Baca.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer, 901 South Sheridan Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado, 80226, on Saturday, January 17, 2025, starting with a gathering at 10:00am, the memorial at 11:00am, followed by a reception at noon.
