Aida Cruz Sands, 72, of Aurora, passed away October 16, 2015.
She was born October 27, 1942 in Manila, Philipines, the daughter of Faustino and Nieves (De La Cruz) Mojica. On December 31, 1971 she married James Sands, of Golden, Colorado.
Aida is survived by her husband, James Sands; children Renato Sands, Ruby (Wes) Frederick, Rosilyn Harlan, and Ricardo Sands; six grandchildren, Enrico Sands, Alex Sands, Brandon Sands, Shannon Harlan, Luke Frederick, and Devin Sands; sister, Lolita Baniel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Faustino & Nieves Mojica and six siblings, Norma Sumaway, Leonora Agustin, Anita Mojica, Danilo Mojica and Ricardo Mojica.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Aida left an everlasting impression of love and kindness on the lives of those who knew and loved her. Aida was always quick to offer help or encouragement in difficult times, and her selfless generosity, love and friendship will never be forgotten. Aida can never be replaced, but will always be remembered with love.
