Alfonso "Al" Leos, 78, of Wheat Ridge, lost his battle with cancer on June 6, 2015.
He was born in Denver, Colorado, August 1, 1936, and graduated from Hayden Union High School in 1955. He worked as an auto mechanic, at a meat packing plant, and retired from Coors Brewing Company working in warehouse operations.
Al was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for fishing and camping and a deep love for nature.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; son Chris Leos (wife Cathie); son Robert Leos (wife Monique); sisters Hope Anaya and Connie Chavez; sister-in-law Juanita Ruiz; and step children; Tina Autobee (husband Dave); John Rodriguez (wife Chenille); and Susan Rodriguez. He had many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife Anna Mae Leos, son Al Leos, Jr.; daughter Lorri Leos; brother Robert Ruiz; and brother Danny Leos; father Tony Ruiz and mother Benita Ruiz.
Viewing will be held at Saint Peter and Paul Church, 3900 Pierce Street, Wheat Ridge, on Friday June 12th, from 9:30 a.m to 11a.m. Mass will immediately follow. Burial will take place after mass at Mount Olivet Cemetery, with no procession. Reception after burial will be held at the American G.I. Forum, 1717 Federal, Denver.
