Alfred Alan Johnson, 83, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at the Denver Hospice.
He was born to Norman and Mabel Johnson in Laramie, WY on Dec 27, 1930, where his family owned the Johnson Hotel. He served in the US Army, and was stationed in Alaska during the Korean war. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming, and earned his law degree from CU in Boulder in 1963. He settled in Fort Collins, where he had his own legal practice for over thirty years. He retired with his wife to New Mexico, where they lived in Santa Fe, Carlsbad, Clovis and Ruidoso.
He loved the mountains, crossword puzzles, golf, poetry, and ballroom dancing. He was a good skier, hunter, and whistler.
He is preceded in death by his older brother, Norman, and his younger brother Tommy, both of Laramie.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Leslie; their son from her first marriage, Lance; his first wife, Ann Ryan of Fort Collins, their three children, Brad, Eric, and Beth Lin; and two grandsons, Kit and Evan.
