Alice Louise Sell

Alice Louise Sell, 92, of Arvada, Colorado passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Stonebridge Retirement Community. She was born to the late Edwin (Jack) and Pauline Marie Knight on March 20, 1934 in Plainville, Kansas. She graduated from Plainville High School.

On New Year’s Eve in 1950, she married Wayne Eugene Sell in Stockton, Kansas. They later enjoyed two children, Terry and Barbara.

Alice was heavily involved in multiple youth activities, supporting her children in sports, dance, music and Scouting, among others. She was well known as an artist of many disciplines. She was most known for her florals hand painted on porcelain.

She enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Alice and Wayne boondocked near Quartzite, Arizona during winter months for many years. Other interests included creating unique crafts, collecting antiques, her Pomeranians and square dancing.

Alice held membership in Colorado Springs Glen Eyrie #8 and Fountain Valley #155 Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She worked closely with their Rainbow Girls youth organization and served terms as Worthy Matron.

She is survived by her son, Terry Sell and wife Barbara of Rock Springs, Wyoming, her daughter, Barbara Suggs and husband Roger of Golden, Colorado; five grandchildren, Carrie Bradley and husband John of Arvada, Colorado, Amy Kamerzell and husband Dwaine of Dacula, Georgia, James Sell and wife Heather of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mark Sell of Laramie, Wyoming, Andrew Sell and wife Kristine of Rock Springs, Wyoming and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, her parents, her brother, Gary and his wife, Joyce.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of God (Seventh Day), 9375 Gaylord St., Thornton, Colorado 80229. Dinner will follow. Interment will be at Noon, October 26th at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses Street, Golden, Colorado 80401.
