Allan Gonzales, born on May 17, 1957, in Tacoma, Washington, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2026, in Lakewood. Allan’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and the profound impact one person can have on a community.

Known affectionately as “Mr. G” by the students at Green Gables Elementary School, Allan served as a beloved paraprofessional for six years. His presence in the school was truly the heartbeat of the place. Every day, he showed up with unwavering commitment to ensure every child felt seen, valued, loved, and safe—whether it was in the classroom, the hallways, or during lunch and recess. Allan’s genuine care and warm sense of humor endeared him to students and staff alike, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished for years to come.

Allan’s journey began at Aurora Central High School, and he went on to earn an Associates Degree in Business. However, his proudest accomplishment was being a devoted father. His family was the center of his world, and he embraced fatherhood with immense love and pride.

Beyond the school walls, Allan’s dedication extended deeply into his church community. He helped lead Sunday school, nurturing the faith and growth of the young minds entrusted to him. He found joy and fellowship singing in the church choir, sharing his passion for music and devotion. His spirit was also lifted by his love for the Air Force Football team, a team he cheered on with enthusiasm.

Allan was known for his lightheartedness and kindness. He had a positive outlook on life, always ready with a joke that brightened the day. His kind heart and infectious humor were gifts he freely shared with everyone around him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Norma Gonzales; his son, Ian; and a loving extended family. Their lives have been enriched immeasurably by his loving presence. Allan also leaves behind the memories of his late parents, Kazuko and Leopolde Gonzales, who undoubtedly share in the pride of the wonderful man he became.

Allan Gonzales’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyal service to others. He touched so many lives with his warmth and dedication, reminding all who knew him that true greatness lies in the care we show to one another. His memory will forever be a beacon of compassion and joy.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made in Allan's honor to The Wounded Warriors Project or The Gary Sinise Foundation.
