Almira H. Larson

Almira (Mira) H. Larson 94, died Tuesday November 26, 2024. She was born in Edgar Wisconsin to the late Amelia (Steidinger) and Carl Weinkauf on December 31, 1929. After High School, she moved to Madison Wisconsin and then to Denver where she worked as a secretary. There she met her husband, the late Duane Stewart Larson, and they were married for over 65 years. Along with caring for her four children, Mira was an excellent cook, gardener, and accomplished craftsperson -creating stained glass pieces, quilts, and reupholstering furniture. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and numerous other organizations. Mira and her husband loved to travel and took many trips to Europe and the United States.

Mira is survived by three of her children – Denise Larson, Melinda Larson, and Chris Larson, and three grandchildren - Zachariah Wollerman, Cameron Longabaugh, and Joshua Longabaugh. She was proceeded in death by her daughter Stephanie Larson Reibe, her husband Duane, and her four siblings – Alberta Seeger, Ewald Weinkauf, Darlene Hehling, and Earl Weinkauf. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.

Funeral Arrangements will be at a later date.
